2017 Brighter Days Children's Camp

Description

Brighter Days is a free camp experience for children, rising kindergarten through 12th grade, who have suffered a loss. Campers learn that they are not alone in their feelings of sadness and anxiety about the ways their lives have changed. Campers also learn that mourning the loss of a loved one is not a process of forgetting, but a way of remembering with less pain.

Activities have been planned to meet the needs of each age group, as well as the individual child. They are developed and led by professional bereavement coordinators and specially trained volunteers who help children express their sadness and deal with the changes in their lives. Events include swimming and fun in the sun. Lunch & snacks are provided.
