Veteran's Day 2016 Poster & Essay Contest

Deadline for for entries is close of business on Monday, November 7.
Take your entries to Piedmont Legal Associates, PA, 124 West Depot St, Mocksville, NC.

Poster Contest: K - 5th Grade (Elementary School Age)
Essay Contest: 6th - Graduation (Middle & High School Age)

Topic: What can I do to make my country better?

Certificates will be awarded in the discretion of the judges for the top three entries in each division.

Posters will be displayed at the 2016 Veteran's Day Observance, (Friday, November 11 at 11:00 AM, Mocksville Town Square near the Veteran's Memorial, weather permitting).

Top essay winners will be asked to read their essays at the observance.
Top post winners will be asked to explain their posters at the observance.

For poster entries, make sure that the entrant's name, age, grade, school, and telephone number are on the back of the poster.
For essay entries, the essay must be typewritten, double-spaced, and no more than 1000 words long. Make sure that the entrant's name, age, grade, school, and telephone number are on the back of the last page of the essay.

All entries become the property of the Veteran's Day Committee.
