SUMMARY:American Red Cross Training Session for New Local Disaster Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:The American Red Cross will conduct a training session for new local disaster volunteers in Thomasville on Saturday\, October 17\, 9:00 am   12:30 pm at Davidson County Community College\, Public Safety Building\, Room 100\, 297 Davidson Community College Road\, Thomasville\, NC 27360.  Disaster volunteers respond to local disasters such as home fires and provide immediate relief of shelter\, food\, clothing and other services.  Volunteers will receive an Orientation on how to get started as an American Red Cross volunteer\, Disaster Action Team Basics\, and Disaster Services Overview.  All American Red Cross volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Application\, Read and Agree to Red Cross Policies and complete a Background Check.  Registration is required.
