SUMMARY:Chamber Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Meet the Maker: From the Garage to the Biggest Stages\n\nWhat do Darius Rucker\, Luke Combs\, The Avett Brothers\, Zac Brown Band and some of the biggest names in music have in common?\n\nBehind the scenes\, helping make the show happen\, you'll find a company headquartered right here in Mocksville\, North Carolina.\n\nJoin the Davie County Chamber of Commerce for our September Monthly Meeting and the return of our Meet the Maker series\, featuring Michael Brammer\, co-owner of Special Event Services (SES).\n\nThe story of SES is one of entrepreneurship\, relationships\, innovation and incredible growth. What began in a Winston-Salem garage in 1986 grew alongside one of its early clients\, Hootie & the Blowfish\, as the band skyrocketed to national fame. That relationship continued with Darius Rucker throughout his solo career and helped put SES on the road to becoming a major force in the live entertainment industry.\n\nToday\, SES and its team help bring live experiences to life for artists and events across the country. Their impressive history includes work with names like Darius Rucker\, Luke Combs\, The Avett Brothers\, Zac Brown Band\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, Justin Moore\, Joe Bonamassa\, Glass Animals and many more.\n\nAnd when tens of thousands of fans walk into a stadium or concert venue\, they see the finished product. What they don't see are the countless hours\, trucks of equipment\, technology\, logistics\, crews and expertise required to build the experience before the first note is ever played.\n\nDuring this special Meet the Maker conversation\, Michael will take us behind the curtain to share what it takes to run and grow a business in the fast-paced world of live entertainment. We'll hear how SES grew from humble beginnings into the operation it is today\, what goes into taking a major production on the road\, and how a company headquartered in Davie County plays a role in creating unforgettable experiences for audiences across the country.\n\nThis is more than a story about concerts. It's a story about entrepreneurship\, taking risks\, building relationships\, adapting\, growing a team and turning an idea into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined.\n\nFrom a garage in Winston-Salem to some of the biggest stages in America\, this is a Davie County business story you don't want to miss.\n\nJoin us in September and Meet the Maker behind the show.\n\n\n\nNon-Profit of the month: Smart Start of Davie County\n\n\n\nChamber Champion of the month: Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center\n\n\n\nLunch: $15 No-lunch: Free catering provided by: Honey & Thyme Catering & Events\n\n\n	Ricotta & Chorizo Crostini\, Autumn Farmhouse Salad\, & Fall Harvest Lasagna\n\n\nRegistration is required.\n\nBe involved - we'd love to have you with us!\n\nThis is an exclusive Chamber member networking event held at the Mocksville Education Center every 4th Tuesday of the month\, designed to provide multiple opportunities to connect\, share ideas\, and build lasting relationships with fellow business owners and professionals in our community.
