SUMMARY:October Chamber Monthly Meeting - Sponsored by TRU Taekwondo\, Hampton Inn\, & Bunce Buildings
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our October Chamber Monthly Meeting. This is a truly moving\, current and relevant talk by August Turak based on leadership lessons from Turak's book\, Business Secrets of the Trappist Monks.\n\n\n\nAUGUST TURAK is a highly successful entrepreneur\, award-winning author\, speaker\, and consultant. He has published many popular leadership articles for Forbes and is a former contributor for the BBC. He is the founder of the educational nonprofit the Self Knowledge Symposium Foundation (SKSF). As a frequent guest\, Turak has been living and working alongside the monks of Mepkin Abbey since 1996.\n\nHis book\, Business Secrets of the Trappist Monks\, was published by Columbia Business School Publishing. This book uses 1000 years of Trappist business success and his own entrepreneurial experience to demonstrate that Trappist monks are not successful businessmen despite adhering to only the highest ethical values\, but because they do.\n\nBrother John: A Monk\, a Pilgrim\, and the Purpose of Life\, published by Clovercroft Publishing\, combines Turak's $100\,000 Templeton Prize winning story with original oil paintings from award-winning artist\, Glenn Harrington. Brother John offers higher meaning and purpose in a world that so many find bereft of meaning and purpose.\n\n\n\nWebsites\n\nwww.AugustTurak.com | www.BrotherJohnBook.com | www.SelfKnowledge.org\n\nSocial Media\n\nLinked In: https://www.linkedin.com/in/augustturak/\n\nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/brotherjohnbook/\n\nTwitter for August Turak: https://twitter.com/augustturak\n\nTwitter for Brother John Book: https://twitter.com/brotherjohnbook\n\nFacebook August Turak Personal Link: https://www.facebook.com/aturak (@augustturak)\n\nFacebook August Turak Author Link: https://www.facebook.com/August.Turak/ (@august.turak)\n\nFacebook Brother John Book Link: https://www.facebook.com/brotherjohnbook/ (@brotherjohnbook)\n\n\n\nSKSF MISSION STATEMENT\n\nOur mission is to bring a transformative message of higher meaning and purpose to a Western Culture increasingly bereft of meaning and purpose.
