Description
Wind your way down North Main Street from 5:30 – 9 p.m. for some fiendish fun! Many homes will be dressed in their Halloween best as cemeteries, ghosts & goblins, witches brew, and more line their paths. Expect bands, DJs, special events, and of course, candy along the way.
Eric & K’s BBQ, Jason’s Italian Ice, and Snickety Snacks food trucks will also be downtown dishing up scary good food, and Barry Rentz and the Mobile Jukebox will be spinning the best in spooky tunes.
“We are excited to celebrate Halloween on Main Street again this year. This celebration has become an annual tradition and a wonderful experience for kids,” said Chuck Taylor, who is organizing the efforts of the North Main Street residents.“Last year, we estimated that over 5,000 people came downtown and enjoyed the experience. There were so many people that many residents ran out of candy.”
Taylor is grateful to Mocksville Tourism Development Authority (MTDA) and Davie County Tourism for providing a grant to support this year’s event.
Road Closures:
Please Note for the safety of the children and their families, sheriff’s deputies will be downtown beginning at 5 p.m. to manage traffic. North Main Street will be closed from Gaither Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Road from 6 – 10 p.m. Side roads onto Main Street through this area will also be blocked off.
