Welcome to Cooleemee, North Carolina—where family traditions are a way of life. Built as a cotton mill town with a strong economic foundation, Cooleemee has persisted as a community because of strong civic pride, neighbors looking after each other and an outstanding elementary school.

The town is once again growing with young families deciding to make Cooleemee their home.

Cooleemee is a small town community with a strong civic spirit. We cherish our heritage ~ over three hundred of our historic mill cottages remain as residential dwellings alongside modern brick homes. Cooleemee is a great place to raise a family—and to grow old surrounded by friends and neighbors.
